Learning About Fire Prevention, Causes and Educating Kids

We all live our lives day to day thinking that nothing bad will happen. We never think that we will be the ones dealing with the cleanup of a house fire. Unfortunately, there are many, many families that suffer the impact of house fires each year. Last year, a close friend of mine was a victim of a house fire and since then, my life has been different. I have spent many hours researching fire prevention, causes, and teaching children about fire prevention and what to do in the case of a fire. It is my hope that my research can help those of you concerned about house fires make the necessary changes in your home and teach your kids what they need to know about fire.

Spare Parts To Buy For Your Lawn Tractor

by Pedro Taylor

When something breaks on your lawn tractor, you can typically visit your local tractor store, buy the replacement parts that you need, and then return home to fix the issue. However, instead of going to buy the parts after your tractor suffers an issue, think about buying a few important parts in advance and storing them in your garage. In the event of a problem, you can then use your spare parts to fix the issue promptly—which means that you can get back to work right away. Here are some spare parts that you should think about buying for your lawn tractor.

Mower Deck Drive Belt

While there are many different ways that you can use your lawn tractor, there is a good chance that you use it for cutting the grass. An important spare part to think about buying is the mower deck drive belt. This is the belt that runs on a set of pulleys between the mower deck and the tractor's engine and is responsible for making the mower blades turn. A mower deck drive belt can fail due to age, which will promptly end your mowing session. Having a spare belt that you can put on will have you back to work quickly.

Mower Blade

Few things can disrupt a day of work in your yard as much as a broken mower blade. While these blades are strong, it is occasionally possible to break one if you run over a jagged rock. Buying a spare mower blade and keeping it in your garage can be useful. Upon realizing that you have broken a blade, you can remove the mower deck, put the new blade in place, and be back to work in a relatively short amount of time.

Tire

When a lawn tractor tire suffers a puncture, it is common to remove it and either repair or replace it. Either approach takes time, which may not be ideal when you are in the middle of a busy day of work. You carry a spare tire in your personal vehicle, so it is useful to take a similar approach to your lawn tractor. Buying a spare front and back tire for your tractor means that, in the event of a serious puncture, you can quickly replace the old tire with your spare. For more information, you can contact a tractor store for these and other spare tractor parts.
